Well, it took about a month of no snow before I was able to test my new snow thrower. We finally got about 9" of fairly heavy snow this past weekend so I was able to give it a good work out. The machine performed great. I had no problem getting thru the 9" of snow. It is a little slow going with this much snow but it still ate it up. Didn't throw it as far as the ad claims but it was far enough. The light weight made it easy for me to carry it to different areas that needed snow removal. The only draw back is that it is electric and you always have to be aware of the cord. Definitely get a heavy duty cold weather extension cord. The machine is worth the money just for the saved back strain alone. Cut the work time in half.

Cheapest Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

Despite the apparent chintziness of this product, we have been very pleased with its performance. First we tried the Snow Joe, but that thing died after only making it through 1/3 of our 100' driveway in about 4" very light, dry snow. The teeth on the belt had already worn down and so we returned it. We bought the Toro instead and have used it 4 times so far in snow as deep as 1' and have been very happy with its performance. Wish we would have read the reviews comparing the two products before we bought that godawful Snow Joe!Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Save Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

This Toro was a Christmas gift from my in-laws. We have a huge gas snow plow that only starts in the summer. My neighbors also own gas snow plows but they just do not start when you really need them. Even when we have them serviced & cleaned annually they just do not start up. Well it is March 2, 2009 & we were just hit with a HUGE stow storm here on Long Island, NY, (over a foot of snow). The Toro is so light weight that I carried the Toro up to our deck and cleaned it off. Then I did the 2 car driveway. All this with a back brace on. You need a long, COLD WEATHER extension cord that really should be plugged into a GFI outlet. I also recommend you have a a small hand shovel in your coat pocket so that you can safely unclog the thrower chute if needed. You dont want to make a mistake of using your hand to clear the chute. For very deep snow at the apron of our driveway, where the snow plow trucks pushed the snow aside, I plowed half the width of the Toro thrower, basically smaller sections, and it was done in no time. I let my neighbor use it to do his driveway and now he is getting one too. I hope we don't get this much snow any time soon but if we do, I am sure that there will be a lot more Toro's in the neighborhood. PS: I ALSO RECOMMEND AMAZON.COM (that is where our Toro was purchased & it shipped free).Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I loved the Toro snow blower all last year when we had 6 inches or so of fluffy snow. Today we got 10 inches of dense wet snow. The Toro did great for the first 20 minutes, then began sounding like there was a twig stuck in the machine. I checked. No twig. Two minutes later it gave out. The engine still worked, but the internal gears, which must be plastic, were stripped. It would catch, then stop half way around. Bummer. Now I'll either have to try to have my son-in-law repair it or buy a new machine.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Amazon and Toro is a great combination. I purchased the Toro1800 Snowblower in January and had to return it as it didn't work. 3 days later (!) a replacement had arrived. This is amazing customer service! On top of that, the snowblower works like a charm even moving the heavy stuff left at the end of the driveway by the plows. The truth is that there is a case by case situation when it is used to plow it. Some are certainly up to the task, and that will be in great condition and be ready for years of service. Others will be taken to have broken or almost broken parts, and is the first time they have interrupted. So, as you can tell the difference, and there are rules for buying used snow plow?

Snow Throwers

The first thing I want to do is ensure that you are buyinga current mark. If you buy a brand that is no longer in production, such as finding spare parts and other services will be very difficult. In addition, trademarks, presented today to discover that the best snow blowers and those who produce the most reliable. Seniors brands will not try all the functions and features you want.

Snow Will Get Used THE JOB DONE?

If possible, they also want a specific model, see the current staff, with the exception of a mark that still in businessGeneral. If you still do your specific model of snow, you can rely on instructions, spare parts, repair specialists, and the easier it is.

Moreover, it can be a little 'complicated if you buy used snow blowers. This is because unlike a car, there is no odometer on a snow blower. You need to know how old the model is to go, and the visible signs of wear. Do not just take the sellers word for how well the unit orProvided applications to see the engine and look the part, and also see in my service, so you get what you know. These are not unreasonable demands and honest sellers will meet.

If you buy used snow plows, it offers a great opportunity to save a substantial amount of money and still make a big purchase. If possible, try to create a snow thrower is used, today the production of a popular brand knownthe snow better. If so, you have an excellent opportunity for a purchase you will be happy for years to come.

Lowest Price Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I have had my Toro 1800 power curve for about 5 years and try to convince everyone I know to buy one. I live on Long Island where the average snowfall is 3-6 inches. Not enough to pull out most snowblowers, but the power curve is great. You would think the power cord is annoying, but you get used to it with one use. The advantage of it being so lightweight is that you can move it around very easily. It can't weight more than 30 lbs or so. Even today we had about 1 foot, and the power curve could handle it. Sure, you need to work a little harder, but it's better than shoveling. And although a big snowblower would have been better on days like this, we only get a storm like this every few years. Again, if you live in a place where the snowfalls aren't usually more than 6 inches on average, this is the best product to use. If you live where it snows a lot more, maybe not the best product for you.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Out of the box and into the snow in about 25 minutes (getting a couple of things aligned was a little trickier than I'd expected). I had to wade thru 3 ft of snow by taking it in layers, but it worked well and got the deck cleared in 1/3rd the time it would have taken with shovel. Even tho the snow was heavy, it did well and has done even better with powdery snow. The 30 ft of throw in the ads is pretty accurate. It took a little to work out how best to avoid running over the cord, but once I was trained, the machine did all it was supposed to do. I recommend it highly for snows under 1 ft and for deeper snow if you can manage lifting it and using it to go thru the deeper snow in layers.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

If you buy snow plows for sale, or only when you need it? This is a common question asked by many people as when winter comes. Whatever the case, here are some tips to help you have a goodone.

Snow Throwers

It 'important that you know the work you have snow bear species. What you need to buy review the process on the one hand, how long your path is the amount of snow that usually get every year, how hard the snow and you have jobs or work less for your snow thrower to complete a major?

I bought this last month and have have used it about 3 times already. It's good on powdery or light, fluffy snow. If you have heavy snow, it's not terribly useful as it doesn't have enough horse power to move the snow.

It's good for clearing porches, walkways, and driveways that aren't too long (mine's a 4 car driveway) and using 2x50 ft extension cables seems to work fine. I would ensure that you get an outdoor extension cable that has enough tolerance (thick enough and can withstand the power needed by the snow thrower), otherwise, you're at risk of burning out the engine -- I heard this from a friend who has the same snow thrower and it burnt out the engine after 3 uses. The Toro folks said that you've got to make sure your get the right extension cable otherwise that can happen.

Another suggestion when you use it is to make sure your extension cable is always in sight and not in the path of the snow thrower as the last thing you want to do is rip up your extension cable and spend some time trying to remove it from the the snow thrower -- which can be exasperating and tedious. Don't forget that if that happens, make sure you unplug it before attempting to disengage the power cable from the snow thrower.

This little snow blower is very powerful and very lightweight to handle. The advertisements say that this snow blower can throw the snow up to 30 feet and they are not joking. I was snow blowing my driveway and I had to stop because I was throwing the snow across the street and into the field which is about almost 40 feet from my driveway. I was shocked that this little machine could throw it that far.

A slight down side is that it does not have a drive wheel so it gets caught on the ground while you are pushing it. Not such a big deal though.

This snow blower is ideal for the small area like a small driveway or a deck. I would not recommend this snowblower for the larger jobs though. It is fast, but you would end up getting tired fast by pushing it since it does not have a drive wheel.

All-in-all, this is a great machine for the ease of use, easy assembly and a great price tag.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Top Quality

If you don't already have one, get a 5\16 allen wrench. You might as well open it up and tighten the main parts that are supposed to be tight (do it before you even try to use it, is my suggestion).

This snow thrower works great for me in norcal mountains, but works much better with powder, than heavier wet\icy snow.

You will probably need to find your own technique (you can't just push this into a big (say, 8") pile of wet, icy snow and expect anything to happen!). I learned for my type of snow here and its current depth, that I have more success, if I pick it up by both handles and working it with layers; this isn't as laborious as shoveling for me, but it's not easy and labor-less like self-propelled, large gas models. be that as it may, I can get down to the ground, in about three passes this way - in wet, icy snow that is about 8" deep. Powder it works with much easier, but in norcal not every snow storm is powder (sometimes icier and heavier).

Once you have this, do yourself a favor and don't wait around for lots to pile up... Get on it early and this is the only snow thrower you need.

Loses two stars for not being (as advertised) as easy in icy snow, as powder. Gains one star, because it's easier to maintain and store than larger gas models - and is cheap enough that if you keep it within its limits, it's a wonderful snow thrower.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 This instant

I purchased the Toro 1800 to supplement my 11 hp, 30" Sears power snow blower. Quite frankly, it's replaced it! It was a snap to assemble. This lightweight machine glides through the snow almost like a floor buffer - forward and backward, left to right. Whereas the power blower sets the speed by the transmission, the Toro 1800 operates at whatever speed you decide to walk (or run). It cleans right down to the pavement and has no problem throwing snow well beyond the width of my large driveway.
The ONLY caution is to plan ahead so that you have good cord management; being careful not to run over your cord. I recommend starting down one side of your driveway lengthwise - always blowing the snow in the same direction. This will keep the cord on the same side at all times. It's easy to change the chute direction when you turn around. I would recommend the Toro 1800 to anyone. Quite frankly, it's fun and easy to clear our driveway and walkways. So far so good. Used this twice. Once with about 6 inches of somewhat light snow and it did fine. Cord takes some getting used to, but as I have a weed whacker with a cord I am used to it. Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I bought this after our 4 ft of snow just before Christmas here in the mountains of southern California... Then it turned summer for a month.. then February hit.. Winter returns!... I finally got to break it out.

My first task was a 12" light fluffy snow. It worked great! Fast, down to pavement, and threw a long distance. My neighbor with his big gas machine was in awe and had to come over to investigate!

Second snow was trying to keep up with the dumping snow... so I went out 3 times in a day and blew off about 5" each time, started heavy, then light. Again, worked pretty well..

...last time was about 6" of moderately heavy snow. still worked good, but then something broke with the rotor shaft I believe, and it stopped throwing and began making a loud noise. The shaft was still spinning, but once snow hit it, it had no power and stopped.

I'm not the most mechanical person, but I took it apart, however I could not find out what was wrong, so I took it into a Toro dealer.

Being near LA, I took it to a place where, to no surprise, they spoke very little english. Anyway, $10 later and 3 explanations later and still not understanding what they did to it, it works fine again. Must have not been a big deal. :P

Bottom line, this thing so far has impressed me. With light snow, it throws very good.. but as would be expected, the heavier it gets, the less distance it throws. It goes down to pavement well. I wouldn't recommend to use it off pavement. I do worry about its longevity, but it seems like its a simple design so reapiring shouldn't cost a fortune. The wheels suck, but so far have not been a big issue. well worth the money for all but large jobs and huge amounts of snow.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Review

As received, the snowblower quit after the first 50 feet of use. Bolts had not been torqued adequately as built. This caused belt to jump pulley. Took local warrenty repair facility 4 days to figure this out. Worked great after they torqued the bolts. They had a second one returned (same problem and also bought from Amazon.com) the day I picked mine up. Worked great in our recent 8 inch snow. It did double drive plus sidewalks in about 30 minutes. Cord is not a problem.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

They only be able to shovel snowup to a maximum of about 150 meters away from the wall outlet and no more than about 4 to 6 inches of light snow in a single pass electric-powered snow blower. electric powered snow tend to width of about 18 inches of cut, and usually have a capacity of 12-15 amps. These electric cars are good for de-mining areas of snow to the size of a car-street pathways and three associates. They tend to valuebe able to remove up to 10 inches of snow at a time, but up to 6 inches of snow depth is 4 more realistic. They only be able to clear snow up to about 150 meters up from the socket. A single-stage gas powered snow blower. Utensils Gas phase snow are normally 21 to 24 inches and are completed by a substantial 12 centimeters of snow in one, but most are satisfied with the course of 6 to 8 inchesa ride. Single-stage blowers usually of 4-stroke engines powered these days are more than 2-stroke engines, eliminating the need for adding oil to gas. 4-stroke engines are quieter than 2 stroke engines and also tend to have more torque, are the best way to meet the most stringent conditions. A single-stage snow blower operators need tends to push the wheels are driven, but to say that they want along theirSnail. Two-stage gas powered snow blowers. These are the top-end machines for clearing areas for domestic properties. The fans are small, 24 to 33 inches and width of cut is driven with up to 6 forward and vice versa. Snowblowers two stages are also able to better with wet snow, as the impeller is driven by a secondary slide and are also able to clear snow up to 24 inches deep. These twoStage snow are great, the room means that they do not use as flexible as a small step or electric cars, and they also need considerable storage. Larger snow -. Attached as annexes snow blowers and snow plows are vehicles for tractors and utility companies.

What kind of snow blower is best for your property?

This isdepend on the amount of snow used to have and how big the area is clear that you need. So, the bigger the area, bigger, stronger, the snow blower you need. Finally, do not you want to be there all day to do the snow removal are better things you could.

Steps, decking, patio, paths, etc., really the only option for these smaller areas is a normal shovel or a snow shovel electric power. SmallThe environment - cars over sidewalks. 3. If you have a small car driveway for up to two more trenches around the house, then a power shovel, but I suggest that an electrically-powered snow thrower about 18 inches would be ideal. A voice of more than two cars, and you definitely need a snow thrower electric power and a shovel. As with an electric lawn mower, the power supply is a problem, so care is needed if you do not cut the fanCord. Business and Environment - more access walkways-5. 2 If you have electricity problems getting to the point where you need to shovel the snow then I suggest that an electrically powered snow blower would be ideal as it requires no gas down, simple as a fan to save gas no , easier to use and whether to use just pull it out, plug it in and off you want. A gas-powered machine is a single stage to do a task similar to electricity, andi can walk freely snow, where there is no access to electricity within 150 I propose a machine-powered single-stage gas is used for a driveway, the camera is useful for more than five cars sidewalks. Large area - like a 5 car driveway. If you have more experience of an area larger than 5 cars or regular heavy snowfall then you will need a power gas blowers in two phases. Also, remember that two-stage snow thrower and the driving wheelsup to six forward gears and one reverse gear, and so are easier on the muscles, back and lungs as individual steps or on machines where the worm is that you pull through the snow. Massive Central Region - long driveway, parking, etc. If you have a car lot and a long driveway or large parking lot for more than ten and have a lawn tractor, ATV or tractor and attachments are available for you to shovel snow from the comfort of the seat ofthese vehicles. The annexes are also on the way for commercial vehicles available as a pick-up, but if the miles of property from the main road, then you do not, this should be considered.

The Bravery beyond the scope of

It is the experience of today that mad-E 'regret and anger about what has happened in the past, and fear of what will happen tomorrow.

There we were, facing off against each other, the freshly fallen snow lying thick on this soil, this was not only without the snow was heavy and thick and wet: the perfect way for weapons in the winter. .. Snowballs. In our group we had an assembly line: a couple of guys to make snowballs, acouple of guys to decision makers for the recovery of the snow, a few guys in a society that has made again to the pitcher, and the rest of the group to lay down their arms.

Snow Throwers

So fly, we made our stand, the air with rockets in a perfect arc of white peppered harmless splat in front of our line of fire. We stayed where we are sure that we had an update on other area teams, and then we will establish our distance and began to throw snowballs at us, raising theFront and odd spectators. As we approach, it would be the other team accordingly. They were held contempt and ridicule, we like them launch their ill-aimed snowball. They knew that we had some great arms in our group, and they made sure they were always just a bit 'off the field or our attacks. More who were out of reach, were brave, until we finally make a run on them and scatter like leaves falling in autumn, a strong wind.

The Bravery beyond the scope of

FromExperience I have found that sometimes, I and probably many other people, dealing with stress the same way: We look good enough to prove beyond the reach of the situation and their implications to ensure that we are not affected by it, and if it lands in the vicinity your home, we scatter in all directions, hoping that the attack, only to lose the seemingly worse. And since there is no way to hide, with the stress in our lives that we feel matter. If we are not confronted with the direct effects ofThe situation is not surprising as we brave?

I find that to be as much as I know what to do, and how important it is able to look at what is really happening, I sometimes resist looking at the current reality of the situation. The problem with this scenario is simple: as an ostrich's head in the sand if we do not know what is really happening, how can we solve the problem?

This week if you are faced with stressful situations that you hear fromYour bid, and you want to win the fight, here are some tips that may help:

1. Focus your attention on things you might do something that you can not.

2. Deciding what to do against it, and keep you busy.

3. Settle on how much attention the situation, it's worth, and then give no more.

If these simple situations, you are ready and prepared to meet the greatest challenges of life.

Make your bestWeek Ever!

electrically powered snow blower - Toys or Tools?

With all the snow in recent years East, fans of all makes the snow was a leap in popularity, but probably not a group as well as electric-powered snow thrower. It's definitely some advantages compared to gas models in terms of weight, cost, easy handling and storage (especially small ones). They are perfect for those border areas that normally get light and suitable intermittent snowfall.

The rank-powered electric snow thrower in twogeneral categories: (1) ultra-light, small units, to cut the stairs, terraces, courtyards and small bridges, and (2) machines that are in competition with single-stage gas models.

Snow Throwers

Ultra-lights

electrically powered snow blower - Toys or Tools?

These machines are light, weighing about 12.5 pounds per kg about 20 minutes. They are often called "electric paddle". They clear a strip of 12 to 15 inches, the snow is not more than 4 or 5 inches (most people use these devices for shoveling the snow very deep). They are easy to store and hang on a hook on the wall of a garage. These are the perfect tools for stairs and small terraces and courtyards, or short distances. The prices in this ultra-lights run about $ 90 to $ 150.

I thought it might be a good idea to have one of these units to areas in addition to a larger snow blower for older children.

Comparable single-stage machine

These electrically operated> Throwers have larger engines - up to 15 amps - and a path to 19 inches in 12 inches of snow though. She has all the characteristics of the largest gas-stage models, such as directional discharge chutes, ergonomic handles, large heavy wheels, the body (not so heavy as the gas models), the distance relief well, and the like.

And of course do not have gas or oil, and it's never frustrating experience of a crackPull start trying to start a gas engine vibrant sub-zero weather. The obvious advantage over comparable models of gas is that there are no oil changes or costly setups.

Of course, the downside of this size are comparable electric fan is that it takes about the same space as the gas models, plus there is a power cable, which seems in a way quite often. The prices of these large electrical machines can be up to about $ 300.

GoingCordless

The giant of the group is interesting as a cordless model. It has two batteries in a battery with a duration of 45 to 60 minutes on a single charge. It 's the two-stage blower Ariens AMP 24. This machine cuts a strip of 24 inches to 20 inches of deep snow. Obviously, it was designed for the removal of heavy snow. It has 6 forward and 2 in reverse order. This machine has all the advantages of electric models, as the workhorsePossibility of large gas models in two stages. Unfortunately, this machine costs about $ 1,600, and out of reach of many people.

On the down side, this unit of storage space even more necessary and the cost of repair can be quite high, especially if the batteries are low and must be replaced. Nobody knows How much electricity is used to recharge the batteries, but they must be connected at all times maintain a trickle charge on it. I'm not sure snow Wirelessthe wave of the future yet.

Toys or tools?

Well, in my opinion, electric snow thrower is definitely a tool, although some of them seem to toys. But, like all the tools they need in areas that were to be used. I know, I know that many people tell me on the mountain snow drifts that fight with their guns a little snow - and certainly have a job ... but I think the right job could be done easily with the right tool for theApplication to.
