Purchase Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

The worst product I ever used. It stopped working after 5 minutes of use. The motor was still working, but the plastic thing that moved the snow didn't turn. This product definitely sucks. Don't waste your money on it.

I decided to buy this product because I saw some good reviews. After this machine stopped working, I came back to the computer and saw a lot of bad reviews by people who experienced the same problem. Now I understand: it is purely a matter of luck purchasing this product. If you're lucky enough to buy a good one, then it works fine. But if you're like a lot of us who didn't get a good draw, then it just sucks. So the question is whether you want to spend money to place a bet. I'm not sure this bet is worth $300.

Works well in the recent snowstorms. This was for my parents in Western New York. They have a relatively short driveway but lots of snow (and rotten state plowers who leave behind significant amounts of ice in front of their drive).

Worked well in 12 inches to 15 inches of snow. For the ice, they attacked it in layers and it worked well also.

Where To Buy Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I was given this as a gift some years ago and still use it today. This has to be the best gift ever. It does take some getting used to arranging the power chord around your work, but anyone should be able to figure that out within a couple of tries. It does about 12" of snow tops but I would recommend running a pass when you get to 8" so you dont have to push too hard etc. Other downfalls are the lack of pushing when you have very slushy snow or ice, its just not designed for that level of work though it will push some. Overall its a fantastic product for the jobs that are just a bit too big for the average shovel job. My cleaning time went from an hour shoveling down to 15 minutes tops with this. I bought this blower in preparation for the winter. Last year I was caught in my new house without a blower or plow service and had 30+ inches of snow in the first weekend. This past weekend in Boston (or 20 miles west where I live)we received just over 25 inches of snow in 3 days. That was on top of the 4 inches of slush we got earlier in the week. This gave me plenty of chances to test this machine out. Result: Amazing!!

I went out every 5-7 inches to ensure that I cleared out the snow in good size chunks. My driveway is about 100 feet long so there was quite a bit of snow built up. The Toro plowed right through it without issue. Threw the snow a good 30 feet in front of the blower to ensure I got it into the street so the plow could take it. I live at the end of a Cul de Sac so throwing into the street is ok.

Pros:
- Light. I carried this thing onto my back deck to clear it off as well.
- Power. It throws snow. Very far. Heavier snow goes shorter...but the light fluffy stuff goes 40-50 feet.
- Fast. The faster I walk the faster it plows. Never felt like I was waiting on the plow.
- Tough. Handled the wet slush at the end of the driveway that was left by the plow.

The only Con I have is cord management. Not a huge deal but I will probably need to upgrade my power cord to a more heavy duty version. The small cord is great in summer but seemed like it was freezing up in the 3 degree temps we have.

Final Thought - I bought this Toro because I have a Toro Leaf Blower that is amazing. This Snow Blower continues that tradition. This is a fantastic product!! Buy with Confidence. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
