I just got through clearing about 4-5 inches of snow and it worked great. It throws snow further than you would think. My neighbors driveway is on the property line so I threw the snow over my double driveway to the other side.
To be able to just plug it in and go is pretty cool. No hassle with gas and having skunky gas left over in the tank from last winter. However if you don't have electricity, your out of luck. We've had one outage in the 8 years of living here so I should be ok.
