When the blower arrived I had 9" of new snow on my 60'X 20' driveway. Assembly was simple and easy. I put the blower to work and was happy with how easily the blower handled the 9" of snow. It took a little bit of learing to handle the cord. I am not used to electric yard tools.
This weekend was the real test of the blower. I had 18" of new wet snow on my driveway with some drifting. I thought that the snow was too wet and too deep for the machine, but I needed to get the driveway clear. A visiting nurse was due at my house at 1 oclock. I started at 10 AM and had one lane of my driveway clear by 11:30. I even cleared the area at the end of the driveway where the snowplow blocked me in. I took about 6" to 8" bites and didn't push the blower very fast. The more I used the blower the more impressed I became. At times the only thing you could see was the top of the exit spout and the stream of snow exiting the chute. The unit is light enough that when the snow was too high I simply picked the unit up and cleared the snow in layers.
The wheels on the blower are too small, but usable. The on switch on the handle does present a little problem when backing up the blower. The compression switch for ease of use goes almost all the way across the handle. When you pull the blower back for the next swatch there is the tendency to keep the blower running. These are both minor anoyances.
I would recommend this blower for some one who doesn't want the problems of mainrtaining a gas blower.
