Discount Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025
Before buying this product I read what the manufacturer said about it working best in 6 inches and under. Then I read the reviews from those who bought the snow thrower, and how well it worked in heavier snow and therefore purchased the machine. We just had a storm that was 8 inches of snow with drifts 12" or higher and it was a mix of slush and snow. I didn't think it would work but it worked perfectly and it was actually fun. It does work as easily as a vacuum. I think I'll probably get better at my snow throwing startegy as I go along, but it was terrific. The light weight was a big help so I could carry it around the house for stoops and patios. Be sure to get the arctic extension cords and to get long enough ones, you don't want to connect two together. I got a 50 ft. and a 100 ft. to make juggling the cord easier up close to the house and then changed to the 100 further away. I was lucky that my husband acted as "cord man" and made sure I had just enough so I didn't have to concentrate on running over it. I highly recommend this for mid-atlantic winters and am happy to get a chance to review it! Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
Low Price Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025
Several months ago my parents (who are about 80) indicated that it was a chore for them to get the gas operated snow blower started. They mentioned that one of their neighbors mentioned that he had purchased an electric snow blower and was pleased with how easy it was to use. After reading reviews, I decided to pick one up for them to try.
After the first snow my mother indicated that once she got use to hauling around the cord, it worked well for her. Last week (while my parents were visiting a warmer climate) we got about 8" of lightweight snow. I went over to their home and tried it out and I was amazed just how well it worked. They have a short 2-car driveway and an average sidewalk and it cleared it all in probably just 10 minutes. At roughly 20 pounds, it was a breeze to maneuver with one hand on the handle and one on the extension cord. I've got a 8hp 24" monster for my driveway and I'm actually pondering if this little 20 pound Toro could be enough to replace my 200 pound 8hp monster. I guess I need to try it out in a heavy snow for me to be willing to trade it in for the monster, but it sure is the ticket for my elderly parents.
