When the blower arrived I had 9" of new snow on my 60'X 20' driveway. Assembly was simple and easy. I put the blower to work and was happy with how easily the blower handled the 9" of snow. It took a little bit of learing to handle the cord. I am not used to electric yard tools.

This weekend was the real test of the blower. I had 18" of new wet snow on my driveway with some drifting. I thought that the snow was too wet and too deep for the machine, but I needed to get the driveway clear. A visiting nurse was due at my house at 1 oclock. I started at 10 AM and had one lane of my driveway clear by 11:30. I even cleared the area at the end of the driveway where the snowplow blocked me in. I took about 6" to 8" bites and didn't push the blower very fast. The more I used the blower the more impressed I became. At times the only thing you could see was the top of the exit spout and the stream of snow exiting the chute. The unit is light enough that when the snow was too high I simply picked the unit up and cleared the snow in layers.

The wheels on the blower are too small, but usable. The on switch on the handle does present a little problem when backing up the blower. The compression switch for ease of use goes almost all the way across the handle. When you pull the blower back for the next swatch there is the tendency to keep the blower running. These are both minor anoyances.

I would recommend this blower for some one who doesn't want the problems of mainrtaining a gas blower. Of course with the electric motor you don't get the power of the larger gas blower, but the machine handles so much snow that I don't believe you give up much. The convenience of plugging it in and turning it on makes the unit easy to use and easy to maintain.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I live in Maryland, near Annapolis, and we don't usually get big snowfalls. I'm in my 40's and don't mind shoveling a small amount of snow now and again. We had a 19-inch snow in December, which I had to dig out of by hand, as my teenage help has mostly departed. I don't have much to clear, but I was left shoveling snow for 5 days in a row, because when the snowplow comes by, it pushes the snow into previously cleared spots.

Anyway, after that snow, I bought one of these units and figured I wouldn't get a chance to use it. Wrong! The Blizzard of 2010! Snowmaggedon. The "Snowpocolypse!" We got 28 inches of snow. I used my Toro to clear the sidewalk and driveway. Thank goodness I had it.

The unit performed extremely well. The snow was well above the inlet and I had to tip it to get it through the entire depth of snow. The machine rarely clogged, but when it did, was simple to unclog and keep right on going. I would cut a single line with the unit, then used my shovel to put more snow into the path to make it easier to use. I shoveled the snow down, and my wife used the Toro to fling the snow up into the yard out of our way. What a pleasure to use.

Cord management was the only downside, but compared to lifting and carrying and throwing all of the snow myself, well worth the price of the thrower. We cleared 3 times the area and just kept on going with it.

I recommend this snow thrower for those with small driveways that are within 100 feet of the house.

Great product! We received over 20 inches of snow and I was concerned that I wouldn't be able to use my new snow thrower due to the amount that fell over night. WRONG! This machine worked great to throw those 20 inches. Granted, it took some maneuvering of the unit to bite into the top 12 inches, back it up and then go at the next 8 inches, but it handled it easily. I'm very impressed. It even handled the snow at the end of the driveway where the snow plow piled an additional 10 inches of snow. I am very happy and satisfied with this snow thrower. Cheapest Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I just got into the house after tackling what Philadelphia's biggest snowstorm in over a decade left behind: About two feet of snow. Yesterday, I heard my neighbor trying to get his two gas powered snowblowers going after rebuilding the carborators. This was going to be the first real test. Soon after I got the Toro a month ago, we had a couple of inches of snow. My conclusion was that it would have been easier to have shoveled than push around a 25 pound machine. I have about a hundred feet of pavement and 30 feet of driveway as well as 60 feet of street that I like to clear for parking for the patients who come to my home office.

At 8 am I lowered the Toro into the snow in front of my door. I turned it on and instantly there was a spout of snow that continued, interrupted only two three times to clear the spout. (I only had to unplug it from the handle to make it safe to put my hand down near the blades rather than all that is involved in turning off and restarting a gas engine.) It is a small, light unit, although my neighbor's gas blower is only 4 inches wider. I always have enjoyed the rugged exercise one gets from shoveling, but at age 60 spending 6 hours shoveling just doesn't have the appeal it once had for me. Although it took me about half the time to get an even better job done, there was no lack of exercise. This is not a big gas unit that you can just walk behind. It took a lot of pushing with the legs to get the tough little guy through the snowbanks. It never faltered once, though. To those who think that an electric snowblower is only good up to 6 inches of snow, I say: "Not this one." The cord can be a hassle. I ran over mine once and it took 10 minutes to untangle it from around the blade. The blades are plastic and no harm was done. This was only the second time I have used it and I've already gotten much better with the cord. I highly recommend this unit to anyone who wants the convenience and cleanliness of an electric snowblower. It is a very good product.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Discount Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I bought this earlier this week because I was tired of shoveling the front walkway (about 80' long, 4 feet wide) - my son used to be my free snow blower, but he went off to college so not it's up to me again.

In any case, my timing for this order was impeccable as we had a doozie of a blizzard with 33" of snow that ended today (in Northern Virginia).

The snow blower was easy to assemble and worked like a charm. I made two passes on the walkway, the first with about 20 inches of snow and the second with what seemed like another 18 or so inches (which I presume came from some drifting). The snow was wet and heavy, but the blower kept on chugging... I'd push it into the bottom of the snow, pull it back and the snow on top would fall and then push it in again to get it cleared.

It was more labor intensive than it would have been if I'd had a big two stage, self propelled thrower, but they are way more expensive (both initial purchase and ongoing maintenance). If you want something where you just steer, this isn't the one for you. But if you want something that saves you the back breaking lifting of a shovel, this works and if it can handle this storm, it should be able to handle pretty much anything.

I am very happy I bought the blower and recommend it. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Save Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I bought the Toro about 10 years ago. Since it is an electric snow blower it is rated to handle only small areas with less than 6 inches of soft snow. I live in New Jersey and we periodically get large amounts of snow. I have used my machine with snow falls as little as 4 inches and as much as 18 inches. With larger snow falls its takes a lot longer but if used right this little machine gets the job done. Every year I expect the machine to give-out but it surprises me and keeps on working. I would recommend it to anyone who doesn't want to maintain a gas snow thrower and also wants some help reducing manual shoveling. I am waiting for Toro to come out with a larger model and would purchase it in a heart-beat. I got more than my money's worth and I am a very satisfied customer.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Low Price Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

Low operating cost (electricity) and lightweight, this model does the job. The recent snowstorm blasted through Ohio leaving 12" of wet snow on the ground. This 1800 got mid-evil on it and tore through the snow like Sonya Thomas going through hard boiled eggs (look her up). Except for the occasional pluggage (3 times in 2 days) of the discharge chute, this snowblower was a piece of cake. Quick assembly and plug it in to start movin' some snow. I would not recommend this for winding long driveways or places with substantial length of sidewalks. I WOULD recommend it for a 30' driveway (use a 50' extension cord) or less. I have a 30' driveway and a corner lot, so it takes a little more work stringing some extra cord, but it is easy to start (for the wife) and no worries of getting the engine tuned-up. Not self-propelled, but I didn't have to push as hard as I would have if I shoveled, so that is a plus.

If you don't want a big, bulky 2-cycle engine snowblower that only the man can handle, this one is for you. Now..... if I can just get the wife to help out....Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Lowest Price Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I'm the kind of guy found putting together Lego challenging, so this is doable even for klutz. My wife and I spent about an hour to put this together and it worked, with about 18 inches of snow out there.

1st, put the handle bar/right-left tubes are a challenge. We sprayed WD40 to make it easier. Then came the plastic mallet to bang it down slowly with a cloth for protection. The trick is to put the two screws to hold the bar in place. Since the cord is on the right side, so there is a bit of tension there and do be careful with the right side screw.

Putting the chute was uneventful. Just look at the picture on the box. Plastic washer goes inside. I found plugging the cord to my extension was more a pain. The Toro started without any issue.

Now the snow, about 18 inches of soft powdery stuff. It threw about 10-12 feet. Since our driveway is about 200 feet long, I only used this around the walkway, the back and the front. The rest I left it to our snow removal crew. My wife is about 5'4"; she could easily handle this by herself. No complaint about its intended ability.

As for the quality, the Little Tyke wheels are better made than this Toro. You do get what you paid for, so don't expect much from $300 machine. I'm happy overall. My neighbor has a 2-stroke gas Toro and he did his whole driveway. If I have a very long extension cord, I would think this Toro could heck the job, but one should get a gas one for long driveway. For limited area or chore, this is fine.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Right now

I bought this electric snow blower thinking our driveway wasn't big enough to warrent spending an extra $200 getting a gas one. Now I'm regretting that decision. This product is very poorly put together. In the last year I have only had to use it three times, but the most recent time it completely threw the belt. Now it's as good as useless. I've re-read the Amazon reviews and now I see that several people mention belt issues. I wish I'd put this $300 towards the cost of a well-made gas blower. I strongly urge anyone out there not to make my mistake. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I live in the Washington DC area. While we don't get a ton of snow every year, about every 7 years we get a big one of around 20 inches or so. As I write this, we are in the middle of a forecast 20-30 inch storm.

I bought this unit from Amazon in 2003, and it was one of the best purchases I ever made. Since I've had it, it has been a great performer, and cleans snow right down to the pavement. It's never failed to work, and never have any parts broken on it.

I like that it's so small and lightweight. It spends most of it's life hanging on a hook in the garage. Since it is light, it's easy to lift it over my head to hang it. It also has a handle behind the eject chute, which comes in handy for lifting it to clear off steps, picnic tables, etc.

I want to address some other reviewer's negative comments:

This is a light duty, single-stage, 18" snow thrower, priced at $335. Don't expect it to behave as well as a 24", $1900, 2-stage gas powered unit. Please get a grip on your expectations of what this can and cannot be expected to do.

As for the person that said it needs a way to lock the cord into the socket: It doesn't need one. Toro put a loop on the handle that you run your extension cord through twice. Do this, and the cord will never disconnect. You should have read the instructions before using!

The intake on the unit is 18" wide, and about 11" tall. You're not going to get 24" of snow to be taken into the opening in one pass. Put down your cocoa and do what I do: Go out and clean your driveway 2 or 3 times in a big storm. It's fun to use this thing!

Yes, you can suck up the cord in the blower. But all you have to do is develop a workable, systematic pattern to clean your driveway, and the cord danger is no longer an issue.

Wheels: Yes, they are toy-like. But to clean down to the pavement, you need to rock the unit forward to get the scraper down, and the wheels just hang in the air. The wheels just hold the Toro upright when you let go of the handle.

Performance: I have a 40 foot, 2 car wide driveway, and about 160 feet of sidewalk to clear, plus my back deck. In a 6-8" storm, it takes about 15 minutes to clean the driveway, 20 minutes for the walks, and 20 minutes for the deck, including the steps. That's for a heavy, wet snow that we usually get around here. A light, fluffy snow goes much, much faster.

Throw distance for heavy wet snow: 5-8 feet. Light and fluffy: 15-20 feet, maybe more.

Recommendation: Get a heavy duty extension cord, and spend the bucks on a long one. I tried using this with a 50 foot cord, and it wasn't enough. A 100 foot cord makes life so much easier. Well worth the money.

Change I would want Toro to make: Make the eject chute a better design at the top. It's a pain to assemble, and once you tighten the bolts down, it's no longer adjustable. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Best Quality

I never had a blower before and I did not want to hassle with gas etc. I use electric lawn tools so I am well acquainted with electric cords. I was a bit concerned because some of the reviews hinted that it was light and could handle only a couple of inches. This is my third year with this blower and I have been absolutely amazed at this little machine. You won't believe how far it shoots the snow. Living in Michigan, I get wet, deep, and powder. 8 to 10 inches is the deepest I've had but it worked like a charm. I have only seen one of these blowers in use besides my own and the only thing I can think of is that people must be concerned that there isn't enough power. I know nothing about cordless but it is really nothing to plugging in a 100' cord and leaving it plugged in for the winter. Takes up little space and easily carried to the basement in the off winter time. I kind of miss the shovelling for exercise but this little dynamo really saves a lot of time. Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Immediately

I bought this the night before the December 09 mid-atlantic storm where we got about 21" of snow. Understanding the capabilities of this small electric product required multiple times cleaning off the driveway and sidewalks. Note people: IT IS NOT DESIGNED FOR HEAVY DUTY WORK! For that you'll need one bigger - in size and price!

However, I experienced the same problems as many others. (Hence the 4 stars) After the 1st day the drive belt slipped off the pulley. Initially I was upset & annoyed not understanding the problem. Google came to the rescue when I came across a forum with instructions on how to fix the problem. Unfortunately, these come shipped sometimes with the tensioning bolts for the belt not tighened sufficiently. So I got a handy 5/16" hex allen wrench, removed the side panels and tighened anything and everything I could. It took longer to go get the wrench than to actually fix the problem and I live about 2 miles from a store.

Anyway, now it works great. In fact as I write this we have a major storm forecast and no doubt it'll get plenty of use this weekend as they are forecasting up to 24" for the Baltimore area. In fact I think I'll show my wife how to use it ;)

So if you're like me and tired of the snow shovel and only have a driveway, sidewalks and patio to clean off this product will work great. Get yourself a 5/16" allen wrench too, you'll probably need it. Just remember that about 6" depth is the max you can expect this to handle. If you prefer to wait until the snow is deeper then plan to spend several more hundred $$ for a bigger machine.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 This instant

I purchased the 1800 Power Curve from Amazon. After I put it together (not too difficult, just a little time), I was happy to take it out and give it a try. There was some super-light, new snow that had just fallen. After about 2-3 seconds (yes, 2-3 seconds), it stopped throwing...but the motor was still making noise. After searching the web, I found that the belt often falls off. I put it back on a few times, but it would last less than a second each of 2-3 more tries.

I then took it to a Toro service center. After a week or so, they said it was fixed and it was running great and that they used it to test it and "couldn't get it to come off again." They said that Toro said it was a common problem and told them that they simply need to tighten something that was often loose. It then sat in my garage for a week or two. Since it was again snowing, I gave it another try. Before even getting to the snow, the same thing happened again.

Toro customer service is no help. She acts this is a totally rare experience. She said it must be a "one in a million" thing that my unit is having these problems!!! Ugh! Read the customer discussions that are below the reviews.

My options now are to pay to send it back to them (I don't have all of the internal packing anymore)...or find a local service center to do a warranty exchange. When I called the local service center, they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about. Looks like I now have to spend $50 to roll the dice that I'll get one that works...or cut my losses and throw it in the trash.

Overall, I can't recommend this to anyone. Poorly made, bad customer service, a lousy experience. I've spent several hours working on it and taking it to get repaired, but it has operated properly less than 10 seconds!!!

From other reviews, if you get one that works, it sounds like you will be very happy. If you are unlucky and get one that doesn't work, you will be miserable trying to get it repaired or exchanged.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Top Quality

I bought this snow blower purely on a whim. My husband usually uses the big gas-powered blower but had been in poor health -- so how about a snow blower a woman doesn't have to stuggle to start? It arrived promptly, went together fairly easily - do read the directions...and it is very light. I thought maybe it was too little and light for the Western New York winter.

I had read the reviews but didn't expect it to get the heavy snow at the end of the driveway. I already had the heavy duty extension that was recommended - and it is a little bothersome to be trailing cord but once you get the hang of it - it isn't that inconvenient.

Most important - it does the job - right down to the pavement and the heavy stuff at the end of the driveway is doable too - just go a little slower. It did the sidewalk and the front steps - easy to lift and I am 66 years old and 5 foot tall. I have an extra wide drive with cars parked at the side and it let you get good and close to the vehicles without danger of damaging them.

I wish I'd have bought this Toro years ago.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Review

I purchased this item about 5 years ago. It is my first and only snow thrower. I did some research before purchase to decide on what kind of snow thrower to buy, because I'd never used one before.

I have a paved driveway in the suburbs, so this single-stage machine works great for my needs. It is light enough that I can lift it, and with proper hardware, it can hang on the garage wall for storage. I use multiple hanging hooks that are positioned to provide multiple support points.

If you match the machine to your needs, it is quite likely that you will be satisfied. This snow thrower is a lot easier than shoveling and meets my needs. I also suggest one of those all-weather electric power cords, so it will remain supple in cold weather. It makes a difference in how fast you can get the job done.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

This machine is a waste of money. When it's working, it actually throws quite a bit of snow, and does it well. The trouble is poor quality / quality control. Mine not just threw a belt the first time I used it -- it completely shredded it. Read the customer discussions regarding this issue. The problem is poor quality control and assembly. I replaced the belt, and it threw the new belt immediately. I followed the tightening & adjusting tips found in the customer discussion -- it still throws the belt. Another quality issue is that the macine is so sloppily assembled that snow, ice, & grit get inside the side housing - this is what caused the belt to shred on me.

Toro's customer service stinks-- they basically refuse to acknowledge that there's a problem. When I e-mailed them regarding the shredded belt, they told me I had overloaded the machine -- I had not! The snow and ice that got inside due to poor fit and finish had ruined the belt. They said they would send me a new belt gratis and never did. After waiting three weeks, I bought a new belt myself. This piece of junk broke the second time I used it. We had a wet snow in the DC area(4"), and this POS went about 10 feet, and the motor sounded like a gear stripped. Maybe a belt broke, who knows.

I had one of these TORO 1800's before, that worked great for 15 years, but these new ones must be made someplace else. Maybe the same crew as those who are making TOYOTA gas pedals? Amazon seems cool about returning this, but I am very disappointed in TORO's quality control. I threw away the box, and now am going to have to pay dearly to package up this piece of junk and send it back. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Where To Buy Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

Completely happy with this little gem!

FIRST - Have reasonable and rational expectations. If you think this will do as well with a heavy snowfall as a larger, more expensive machine then think again. That's why it only costs around $300. Don't buy an ELECTRIC, CORDED tool and then complain about the power cord. Plan on having to do some management of the cord - it's not difficult. Read the specs - it says it has a rubber auger. Don't buy it and then complain about the "plastic" auger. If you live in a heavy, frequent snow area you're probably going to want something with more power. With that said I am totally happy with what this machine does. I have a heavier, tracked machine that won't be denied when going through the wall at the end of the driveway. I wouldn't even try it with this one with that big of a snowfall but it worked well with something more moderate.

Assembly was a snap. Anyone that has difficulty with assembling this should probably buy everything pre-assembled. One reviewer complained about not having enough hands to put the "tight fitting" handle together. Put the front of the unit against a wall (not an inside the house wall!) and PUSH. When I did this it slipped in very easily and I actually had to pull back a little to line up the holes. It took a small degree of caution to make sure the electrical cord inside one side of the handle didn't get nicked, but definitely nothing more than a tiny bit of attention. It took a little attention to the instructions to get the sequence of nuts, bolts and washers correct on the chute, but nothing more than pretty much following the instructions. It took about 20 minutes in all to get it together, which included removing end plates to check the tightness of the drive system mentioned in other reviews. Mine was rock solid tight.

I paid attention to the specs for the power cord and got one that stayed flexible. I followed the instructions with attaching the cord to the little loop on the handle and then plugged it in. The cord never came unplugged - amazing how that works when you follow the instructions!

My first use was a few weeks ago with a very light snowfall that would probably have been fine with a shovel. I zipped up and down the driveway so fast I could have been running. No problems. My second use was today with somewhere between 2 and 3 inches of what came down as a very light, powdery snow. It was a sunny day and the temp had gone above freezing so it had all compacted and started to get snowball-packable slushy. This machine did a very nice job and met my reasonable expectations. I zipped up and down the driveway, moving the (dreaded) power cord as necessary, and finished the whole driveway very quickly. Very light and maneuverable and it didn't hesitate at any point. It threw the snow far enough to get it off of the driveway - no, it doesn't throw it as far as my heavier, tracked machine, but I didn't expect it to.

So far I am impressed and would buy it again. This little motor puts out a lot of torque and I don't think I'd hesitate to get out in a 6-8 inch snowfall with it. If you get lots of deep, heavy, wet snow get something with more beef. As I have mentioned I have a heavier, tracked machine. My small-sized wife doesn't like to tangle with it unless she has no other choice. She pretty much just waits for me to get home to get out the bigger beast. She is actually looking forward to trying this one out if it we get one of the more moderate snows while I am at work.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

The snow, which sometimes can be called a snow thrower is a tool that you also consider attracting investment if you spend much time and effort to shovel the snow every year. It is still the amount of effort you put on your back, with the ability to save both the pain and costly medical expenses.

The costs associated

This can be very different, but on average you should expect between $ 350 and $ 800 to spend on a single stage compressor, and the mark of $ 1000 for a two-stage machine. Technical data such as power and distance blowing will also affect the price tag.

Order Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I received the Toro 1800 18-inch snow thrower, #38025, in a timely manner. I was excited and assembled the tool with some difficulty due to the electric wiring in the right side handle. The electric wiring would bend upward and out of the hollow handle when pushing the upper handle onto the lower fixed handle. That was a concern and I struggled to get the handle on without damaging the electric wiring. The other issue during assembling was attaching the chute dispenser. The bolts are metal and under the bolt head is a square nut to hold the bolt in place in the square hole on the plastic chute dispenser. The bolts did not fit into the square hole and the bolts rounded out the square hole in the plastic chute dispenser when tighten the nut onto the bolt. the design function of the square in the plastic chute dispenser failed to hold the bolt. Vise grips were handy to help me hold the bolt head while tighten the nut. The next major problem, I used the snow thrower out on my back yard deck and it operated flawlessly for about 20 minutes during snow removal and thats when I heard and noticed the plastic blade stopped turning; as if something was pulled in and jamming the blade. I immediately released the trigger and noticed the burning of plastic/rubber smell. I didn't find the foreign object that jammed the blade, its possible that the blade could have hit the edge of the stone pavement. Anyway, the product is cheap plastic junk and not worth the purchase. I'm waiting for the repair bill. My options now is to sell it or throw it away the next time it breaks. This was my first purchase of a snow blower/thrower and I don't know what to recommend to purchase. I just know don't purchase this plastic junk. sincerely, not a happy customer.Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Snow is an electric fan for me?

Snow plows have changed very little over the past 50 years. Perhaps the most important innovation is the creation of electric models. This plug-in snow guns are easier to use and smaller traditional fans, but are not for everyone.

Electric snow run entirely from the outlet. People like them because they do not have to worry about running out of gas and no oil change. It starts with a push of a buttonButton does not need a pull starter cord! They are also easy to maneuver, easy and relatively quiet.

Snow Throwers

Because of these advantages have electric fans have become very popular in homes around the country, especially in the elderly and less mechanically inclined. They are also cheaper than their gas counterparts for as little as $ 100. As popular as they may be, electric snow blowers have limitations that you should consider before buyingone.

Snow is an electric fan for me?

First, they are much less efficient than gas snow thrower. Their small size means they are only suitable for small driveways, sidewalks and patios. You can not access large amounts of snow still. A typical electric fan can handle up to six inches of white stuff at once, while a gas snow thrower could order up to two meters in one step!

If one thing that limits the power of an electric fan snow, isthe length of the extension cable. Gas blowers can go anywhere. Electric models can only go so far to reach the power cord. Fortunately, this can be through the purchase of an extension cord or two to be relieved. A common danger with an electric fan will run through the cable. Knowing where the cables go in every time and never try.

When I asked for advice, what to buy snow blower, I only recommend an electric fan, if they lived in a warmer climate, or only a smallTo clear the area. You do not need a heavy gas blower, if only ten inches of snow per year or only responsible for clearing a piece of sidewalk.

But even if you have a large driveway and a lot of snow, you still might want to invest in an electric fan. Electric Snow cannons are a great accessory to have around. I keep a gas turbine large in my driveway, but a small electric motor to have in my shed for the compensation of my porch, for example. Many homes have cornersand columns, where a large machine's operating system is simply not practical.

Electric snow blowers are a great innovation. Small, easy to use and requires little maintenance, are ideal for smaller jobs. Who is missing with large driveways to find the snow get very like a fan, and should invest in a gas heavier fan. Of course, you can delete any size driveway with electric launcher, if you are patient, but who wants to 6 hours on a cold and spendingWinter?

Buy Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

After this past years snowfall in Minnesota, I was totally beat after shoveling 3 feet of accumulated snow from my 12' x 24' elevated deck (with 3' high railings). I also have a 14'x 16' basement patio that God decided I should shovel as well (same depth). After taking care of the shoveling, at age 62, I decided I should maybe look for some assistance. (God only helps in April). The Toro 1800 turns out to be a wonderful machine for handling the back deck and basement patio. It blew the snow a lot farther than I expected for such a small compact machine. The 3' high railings on the back deck posed no problem. I would guess the sweat effort is 80% less than my manual shovel. Great machine.
I did not expect it to handle my 70' x 50' 3 car garage apron. I have a Toro Powermax 1128 to handle that issue. Great machine also, another story.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
