Works very well in up to about 4-6 inches of light snow, bogs down in anything heavier and in drifts. You need to take narrower passes than with a gas snow blower, so it takes more time to clear a driveway. Given the convenience of an electric motor and the price, it's a great bargain if you don't regularly get a lot of snow and don't mind being tethered by a power cord.
