Save Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I had a gas snow thrower once. It was more trouble than what it was worth. You had to mix the gas and oil. Then it was hard to start the first time it snowed and it stalled a lot. I thought I was going to have a heart attack just getting the thing started and that's why I bought it in the first place. It was to prevent one! Finally I sold it because it was easier just to shovel snow.
Then I saw the Toro Electric 1800 Power Curve. I read the reviews and thought I'd give it a try. I was a little concerned about the electric motor, but I had cut down two large trees in my yard with an electric chain saw with no problems ( electric chain saw is also a great improvement over a gas one!)
I bought the power curve and then waited for it to snow. We got 5 inches of snow last night and couldn't wait to use my new snow blower. I was amazed, it cleared the snow all the way down to the pavement and was blowing the snow 15 to 20 feet with ease. I watched as my neighbor's gas blower only blew the snow about 5 feet. I cleared my 50ft driveway and sidewalks in about 15 minutes. The cord wasn't really a problem. I just started at the top of my driveway and worked my way down. My neighbor came over to see what I was using and he was amazed that it worked so well.
I didn't have to much trouble with assembly. I think the carriage bolts used in the discharge chute should be metal instead of plastic, because it was hard not to strip the bolt head when trying to tighten.
All and all I think this was a great investment. I live in Ohio and we don't have that many big snow storms, so I think this product is perfect for my situation, but maybe not for yours. I love it! Just plug it in and go, then put it away.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Cheapest Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

My driveway is a long 120 feet and 20 feet wide (25 at certain parts), so you can imagine there's a lot of snow to be shoveled. This thrower really does the job even for such a large driveway. It's very quick, and very quiet. No gas to fill up, no oil to change, no start-up issues during cold weather. It's hands down (assuming this thing lasts for several years) a very good snow thrower. I should also add, for those of you with large driveways, that the long cord I used, 150ft, is not a problem, as long as you make sure to work away from the outlet instead of towards it, that way nothing gets tangled. In fact, this thing is so light, yet powerful, you can do the whole driveway pushing with one hand.

One last thing, the claimed "30" ft throwing distance is under the best conditions: light snow, and wind assisted, with the deflector pointing straight. If the snow is wet, the deflector is pointing to the side, and the wind is blowing against you, you're down to a 10 foot throw, max. But it's still not bad and I'd assume the MUCH more expensive gas throwers have the same issues. You get your money's worth with this thing.

Update: Winter 2008-2009. This product is still going strong, with no issues. I had the pleasure of accidently bumping into a neighbor who was a Toro dealer a while back, and we discussed the high quality of all Toro products, which is what led me to buy this in the first place. He bought this same type of snow-thrower, except the gas powered version, and I can tell you for sure now, that throwing distance is no different in the gas powered version versus the electric one. And I stress again, no maintenance issues (oil, gas, etc...)Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I got the Toro 1800 for my husband for Christmas, and he got a good test of it during the huge snowstorms of early January in Reno. He absolutely loves it. I haven't tried it yet, but it made quick work of several inches of snow on the driveway and our long sidewalk. Keep the cord behind you when you're working, and it's okay. (The cord is what often scares people from electrics....but they're much cheaper and quieter than gas models.)

Order Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

After having about 40 inches of snow fall in the last month, I decided there had to be a better way to live than shoveling snow by hand and potentially risking a heart attack with all the wet snow we've received. So, I started looking online. First I looked at snow shovels. My dad has one, but he gets a lot less snow than I do. I was still looking for an electric alternative, because I hate dealing with small gas engines. I have a gas lawnmower, and dealing with gas, oil, spark plugs and filters is bad enough when it's warm. I definitely didn't want that hassle when it was below freezing. So, I looked on Amazon and found the Toro 1800. At first I wasn't sure how well it would work for my situation, but based on all the other positive reviews, I figured it would be worth a try. It was reasonably priced, and how could I go wrong with over 300 people saying it works great?

I placed my order during a lull in the snowfalls on January 3, and the unit arrived on January 7 courtesy of UPS. As soon as I got home from work, I took it inside, and took it out of the box. I was surprised how easy assembly was, as some of the reviews mentioned that it was difficult. I had no problems getting it assembled. One of the easiest things I've ever done. It took about 10 minutes and required some sockets (1/2" for the chute carriage bolt nuts, and I believe it was a 5/16" and 3/8" for the mounting plate bolts and nuts). However, if you don't have a decent socket set, pliers would do the job too.

Since we haven't had any fresh snow lately, I decided to test it on some snow in my back yard. It was about 45 degrees outside when I tested it last night, so it was extremely wet snow. I was surprised how well it did. I drove it into about 10-12" inches of heavy wet snow and it managed to move it pretty far - about 8-15 feet, depending on how hard I pushed it into the snow. The motor slowed down a bit when I drove it in hard, but it didn't stall like a gas model probably would have. Needless to say, I'm happy with my purchase so far, and can easily recommend this thing if you want a hassle free, fume free snowblower that you can safely park in your living room if you feel like it.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Where To Buy Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

Perfect for the current snow storms we are having in the Adirondacks. Will handle the 5-6 inches or more we get in each storm and shoots the snow far enough so we still have room far enough away for the next storm. Right now we have moved 4 feet of snow fluffy and wet in the 25 days we have had the blower. We have a flexible 50 foot cord tied around the handle so that the plug will not fall out of the plug and the rest of the cord is laid to one side as we walk. The cord can be slippery if walked on-so keep it to the side cleared. We keep it inside the house when not in use on top of the cover of a large plastic bin with a towel under it to absorb the water. Lite weight to carry up stairs, works with care on stairs , and has been a real gods send.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I was a little leary buying an electric snowblower for snow here in Minnesota, but I have been impressed. We have had many days this years with 3"-8" of snow. The blower has no problems cutting through this and throwing it 15-30ft (depending on how wet the snow is). In addition I didn't have to worry about buying gas, worrying about starting or any kind of tune-up as I would with a gas snowblower.

The Good Points:
-Very powerful blower, throws snow 15-30ft without hesitation.
-Completed a 3-car driveway in 20 minutes.
-No gas, starting or tune-ups required. Plug in and go.
-Backed by a 2 year warranty by Toro- who does support most problems.
-Small enough to store away in my garage without its own stall.
-Not very heavy, maybe 30lbs at most if you need to move it.

Bad Points:
-The cord is an issue, and is kind of a pain to get used to. It's like a vacuum, you have to keep adjusting the cord around.
-The blower cannot handle any ice, I tried it on a patch of frozen snow and it knocked the belt loose, but after I fixed it ran like a champ again.
- The wheels are tiny and you cannot control them very well when you hit some deep snow.
- Price seemed a bit high for an electric thrower, but you get a good name Toro.

Overall I would recommend this to anyone who needs a good snow thrower in any climate. We get alot of snow in Minnesota and the blower has done great so far. I would recommend a good low-temp rated cord. I got mine at Menard's for $25 and it has held up very well. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Review

We received 6-8" of snow last night. I didn't measure my drive but it was a good amount. This blower ate right through it and kept on going. I made the mistake of flinging large amounts of the snow on areas that I needed to blow (up to about a foot) and that slowed the the blower down a bit but it did get through it. I have a 3 car drive way and this blower worked great, did the entire thing plus the sidewalks. The only annoying part is having to deal with the cord, but such is life with most electric power items and I don't have to buy gas, oil or do any sort of mixing/maintenance associated with a gas blower.

As long as you're getting less than 12" of snow at a time I'd highly recommend this blower to you. Otherwise you either have to blow more often or you should get a larger blower.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Top Quality

The toro 1800 is a nice little machine if you are careful on how to use it. The first time I used mine, everything went fine without a hitch. It cut through the snow nicely. However, the second time I used it, the belts gave out on me. If you force it on thick or heavy snow, be careful. I had to order additional belts which were not cheap. Also, after 2 usages, there are some wears already on the plastic blade. And the key keeps falling out if it is not upright.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

We have a home in the Truckee, California area in Tahoe/Donner. Our home is at 6,382 elevation. This past week we got a big dump of snow. I was tired of shoveling snow from the two decks we have that do not have EZ access for my motor snow blower. I decided to buy this Toro 1800. I ordered it and it literally came in two days. I unpacked it and began clearing three to five feet of snow from my front and back decks. I could not believe how tough and efficient this little light weight unit is. It made my job of clearing the snow simple. It also saved my back. I wouldn't use this size unit for bigger jobs but for the application I wanted it for it is perfect. I recommend it. Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Best Quality

We purchased this snow thrower to help clear our driveway and sidewalk. This winter already we have had several opportunities to use this. We have found that the snow thrower is great at clearing newly fallen light snow of 8 inches or less. It makes quick work of the snow in these conditions and I am more than willing to go out to clear the driveway more than once because this machine is so easy to use. It is lightweight that I find it easy to carry around between the front and the back of the house and up to the porch where it is stored.

There have been a few glitches however. Our snow thrower doesn't work very well in wet snow or on snow that is plowed into a pile, which can be a little icy. When I used the machine, I was able to clear the heavy snow eventually, but the snow kept getting jammed in the chute requiring me to stop, unplug, and clear it out; also, our chute wouldn't stay at the right angle to maximize the throwing distance. The other nuisance involved the crank not staying in, making changing the direction of the chute a little difficult. Other reviews have mentioned the difficulty maneuvering the thrower around on the silly little wheels and with the electrical chord attached. I would agree with these reviewers.

With the inconvenient problems that we have had with this, I must say that I love this machine and don't regret the purchase at all. It makes me actually look forward clearing the driveway.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

This snowblower isn't a hardcore piece of equipment. This device is meant to clear fresh snow, thats not deeper than about 10" and isn't saturated with rain or ice. It won't chip thru old snow thats refrozen, and it won't clear REALLY heavy snow (like the stuff the plow piles at the end of your driveway). But its not meant for that.

What its meant for is clearing large swaths of fresh snow and throwing it a long distance out of the way. And it does that VERY well. We've had the snowiest winter on record here in Boston this December (25" I think?) and this little guy has handled all of it with no problem.

One major benefit to this device is that it is more environmentally friendly than ANY of the gas powered devices because it only runs when you need it to (its never idling). The instant 'on' trigger is big and friendly to use with gloves on.

Today we are expecting another 10-14" of snow, and its going to see another long day of service.

My only complaints:
-Managing the extension cord can get tedious, but its a small price to pay for a snowblower that never needs maintenence and works EVERY time.

-Without powered wheels it can be a little tricky to snowblow uphill... I recommend carrying it up hill and snowblowing down the slope (its suprisingly light)

-The extension cord needs to be tied to the handle to prevent it from popping out during work. I used a little electrical tape to hold it in addition to the knot.

Finally, just remember that this is a light duty device... if you are expecting to chew thru 2 feet of icy snow, its not going to handle it... if you need to clear a driveway of 6" of fresh snow and shoot it up and over the existing wall of snow, its your best choice!

Bought this machine on advice of friend. We live at 4400' and periodically through the winter need to move up to 4-6 inches of snow. After shoveling snow from our deck, decided to give this electric snow blower a try and it is really wonderful. I don't have a lot of room in my garage so I've put off getting a snow blower. I saw this had good reviews so I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. It does a nice job of cleaning right to the pavement and does a good job of throwing snow. The best part is that it takes up little rooom in my garage in the Winter and this Spring, I can pick it up and put it in my basement. No liquids to drain. No oil changes. You don't even have to worry about lubricating parts.
Sure, it's not going to be able to handle a massive storm in one go, but a couple runs during the storm will get the job done - and I don't have to worry about having enough gas.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

After researching the unit on the internet, including video at Youtube,we rolled the dice for $299 via Amazon. It arrived four days later, undamaged in its sturdy, well-padded carton. Minimal assembly was accomplished in about fifteen minutes with a basic ratchet tool. I did not experience any assembly issues with the handle or anything else.

I was anxious at first, because the unit is lightweight and almost Mattel toy-like in appearance. The outer casing is all red and black high-impact plastic. It has tiny little wheels at the back like a vacuum cleaner, but these are adequate for their intended use, which is to wheel the unit from wherever you keep it to the snow.

We have a straight, fifty-foot driveway, two cars wide, between the garage door and the street in front of our house. The moment of truth came after an eight-inch, semi-icy wet snowfall.

Fortunately, the little monster exceeded all expectations. It smoothly took in the snow right down to the pavement and threw it into a twenty-foot arc. It has rotary blades that actually sit on top of the snow and help propel it as you push it. It is light enough to lift onto a threshold or deck, yet powerful enough for the driveway and sidewalk.

If you can push a vacuum cleaner, you will have no problem handling it. It has an operational feel between vacuum cleaner and lawn mower, but without the gas, choke, and pull-cord hassles. Handling the power cord is a non-issue, just tie it off at the corner of the handle, keep it behind you or to the side, and forget about accidentally unplugging it or getting it tangled in the blades.

In summary, an efficient, inexpensive, maintenance-free, environmentally-friendly unit based on three 8-10 inch snowfalls (so far).

Cheapest Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I have owned the toro 1800 Snow thrower for 4 years. In that time I have found it excellent for cleaning the driveway and my second story porch. In my experience, this is the perfect unit for fresh snow up to 6 to 8 inches in depth and of a powder consistency. If you attempt to use it with wet heavy snow don't expect it to go through more than 2 or 3 inches in depth. Another "gotcha" is that it's the snow freezes overnight and you attempt to plow it the next day you will have a difficult if not impossible time doing so. I attempted to go through this ice and ended up having to replace the impellor at a cost of about $75 and an hour and a half labor. For this reason I purchased a two-stage snow thrower with electric start, lights and all the bells and whistles. This is the one that I keep in the garage and use it to clear the driveway and in particular the berm that the snowplow leaves at the end of it. I have now relegated to the toro 1800 to my upstairs balcony and porch where it is always handy after a fresh snowfall. Cheap Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

This little snow blower is ok price could come down a bit. We had a storm of 6 inches. The snow was wet on the bottom. Although you're not supposed to use a snowblower when the snow is wet we did anyway. It performed very well other than the wet snow clogging up from time to time, but really wasn't a problem to deal with. I don't like the cheap wheels on it, there is no traction, but like I say it is ok for the money. We also needed something lightweight and this fit the bill. It got us out from under 6 inches and performed well. Oh and I loved not having to deal with gas and mixtures tune ups etc...... Love the fact that it is electric. My husband was very skeptical when we viewed this item - this was just after our gas powered huge snowblower died. Our driveway is rather short although two cars wide and I felt replacing it with another behemoth was silly. I read all the reviews and ordered this Toro and it is perfect. I can pick it up with just one hand!! Our next snow was a big one and rather heavy and out he went with the new snow thrower and he admitted he was amazed! It is perfect for our needs, and we live in New England! He even thought it clogged up hardly at all compared to our old gas powered one. This is the first review I have done of any product I have ever purchased on Amazon primarily because I didn't believe I had anything new to offer in a review that others hadn't already said - until now. I believe I have a very useful tip that will make the use of your snow blower very much worth the purchase.

I bought this snow blower in 2003 and it is still going strong today, 1/25/08. I live in Aurora, Colorado and we usually get worse weather out here in the suburbs than does Denver. My neighbor had a gas snow blower and I often saw him working on it or having it worked on. Even when the snow was four feet high, I was still able to blow out my driveway and that of my neighbor (since she is elderly and often very ill). I just lift the little thing up and slowly work my way down to the lower levels of snow.

The greatest struggle I had with the thing was the long extension cord that I needed to do my neighbor's driveway - 100 feet - but I lasted this inconvenience out because the snow blower was so reliable until I read the greatest tip this past summer in Family Handyman (great magazine). Before I would bring the tangled 100ft extension cord into the house and over the next 20 minutes or so try and untangle it even though I had one of those extension cords that is never supposed to get tangled up.

It just so happened I was reading a special hint in the Family Handyman magazine (great magazine) and there was the greatest tip you will ever find to help you with 100 feet of tangled extension cord. You go out and buy a lawn hose house and wrap your extension cord around that - yeah - one of those houses that you wrap your lawn hose around. So when you are finished snow blowing, you just wind the cord up and presto - no tangling! It's super. Just one caveat - at the end where the cord comes out to plug into an outlet, don't leave much more than 10 inches of cord because when you are unwinding your extension cord this flops around and you don't want a lot of extra cord flopping around. Hope this help you. It did me.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I bought this snow thrower a few weeks ago and had the "chance" to use it 5 times already. The first time I used it, I had 2 inches of light powder. I was impressed right away by this little machine. It was cleaning up my concrete driveway perfectly and was throwing the snow the 20-30 feet advertised. It still did a good job on wet heavy snow where it was throwing about 10 to 15 feet. The last time I used it, I waited for more accumulation... 5 inches of powder. One pass walking a little slower pace and the driveway was clean.
I was skeptical... even after I bought it. I relied on the many great reviews it received. My driveways are huge ( I needed 100 ft extension cord) and I could have justified a bigger machine (and more expensive $2000). I went and looked at them. The reason I bought this Toro is that my 2 driveways are separated by stairs... about 30 steps. So a bigger machine would have had to be loaded on the back of the pick-up and driven around... Not something I was looking forward to. I also wanted my Wife to be able to use it if needed. Well, the Toro at 25 lbs is a breeze to move. I just carry it up and down the stairs. The only recommendation would be to buy an extension cord rated for cold temperature. It just make the job easier as the cord is easier to handle. It still takes couples tries to figure out the good way to manage the cord without passing over it. But after 2 uses, it becomes an easy effortless job.
Now, for the price, it just need to last me 2 or 3 years and it will be money well spent.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Review

I have only had one chance to use my snowthrower but that one day it saved my back from shoveling 9 inches of wet snow off of my 30 foot driveway a snap.
It was very easy to assemble. I would have liked to have seen a rechargable battery option on this model because keeping the power chord out of the way was tricky on the return pass going toward the power source leaving the chord in front of the thrower.
I would recommend this to everyone, as it did clear snow down to bare pavement.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Top Quality

Strengths: good in powdery snow, lightweight, easy to set up, quick to put a way. Throws the snow left, right, or any direction in between. Working with an extension cord can be a challenge when you are working on a larger driveway or walk. The unit is primarily plastic with small plastic wheels, a plastic impeller, the bottom scraper is plastic as is the housing and snow chute. Because of this the unit is very light and easy to work with but ... well its plastic. A good extension cord will prevent the cord from pulling out of the handle. Overall it works well on powdery snow but the unit is pricey for the construction. In particular, the wheels on the unit are plastic, small, and flimsy. I don't know how this would work with wet slushy snow, and harder packed snow was a problem and likely accelerates wear on the plastic impeller blade. It was easy to assemble and it does store easily but I would consider a more durable snow blower before opting to buy this particular product if you have to deal with frequent snow.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 This instant

Product worked great for a couple of days, then the main drive belt snapped (i was blowing 3-4 inch snow) So called there customer service and was told to take it to the closest dealer so they could check if it was manufacture defect or user error. I really didnt want to haul the thing down there so i called to just order a belt ($12) which i would fit myself. Basically the belts are were on back order and have been for some time. 3 Week lead team for a Belt, Really this should be a common part thats likely to need to be replaced at some point. Wanted to give this a good review as the unit worked very well at first but let down by terrible customer service.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Immediately

Our Toro 1800 was purchased from Amazon.com in December '07 after accepting the fact that our 30 yr. old Toro gas snowblower had finally outlived its usefullness.

I wanted something that wasn't finicky and that I could easily operate (just plug it in and roll)and this baby fits the bill to a T!

I just moved 6+ inches of a medium-density Illinois snow off my approx. 3000SF driveway in 1 hr.! That time was unheard of with our former machine. The 1800 had plenty of power to tackle snow as tall as the squirrel cage and even handled the plow "wall" effortlessly.

It stores easily and is ready for the next storm...and so am I. No longer are snowstorms a thing of dread when clearing our challenging site, which consists of an uphill drive with a curve thrown in for fun.

The price was a lot more reasonable than I thought possible to replace our old heavy, tempermental machine and I wish I had purchased this model years ago.

Toro, you did a great job on this and I appreciate the ease and comfortable operation. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Best Quality

My husband and I fought over between getting an electric snowthrower or a gas powered one for many years. For me, a petite woman, handling a gas powered snowthrower just wasn't an option- they are too big and heavy for me to operate. My husband wanted the power of a gas powered machine. This winter, he finally gave in and bought this Toro electric snowthrower. It had enough power for what he wanted, and it was light enough for me to handle.

What a mistake! We have a 50-foot long flat driveway that we thought would be a breeze to use the Toro on. The first time we used it, we had a bit of a learning curve due to the extension cord. It does take a little time to get used to. It's like using a vacuum cleaner, only outside. It worked well. One tip: spray the snow chute with Pam or some other non-stick cooking spray before you use it. Wet snow won't stick to it, and you'll have far less clogging problems!

We used it a total of three times within 2 months before it broke. The motor worked, but the plastic part that rotates the snow no longer turned. We took it to the closest repair shop (an hour away!), and they refastened the fan belt. When we got home, we tried it on a 1" deep area of light snow, and the fan belt came off again.

We took it back to the repair shop, and they said that a bolt that holds the wheel that turns the fan belt had come off. They refastened it and claimed that it was fixed. When we got home, we tried it on another 1" deep area of snow. It worked for five minutes, then the plastic part that rotates the snow stopped turning again!

We have to take it back for a THIRD time for repair, but we are expecting that the repair shop will simply send it back to the manufacturer for replacement.

This product is simply not up for clearing out even light snow. I've told my husband that we should get a gas-powered snowthrower now- this snowthrower is simply too unreliable. We feel like we've wasted our money on this. Don't waste yours!Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

We have used the snowblower about five times and am thrilled with it. It's easy to use, and you turn it on and it goes. I highly recommend it. After a snowblower that was difficult to start and fooling around with gas, to me it's the way to go.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Positive- it works every time, it's inexpensive, and it's durable.

Negative- cord gets in the way a LOT; if you're in a windy area, you should probably get something with more power; and, I wish there was a way to rotate the thrower chute without having to bend so far over each time.

Overall, good product, works as advertised, and lets me laugh at my neighbors who can't start their gas snowblowers!Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I love my Toro snow blower! Easy to get around and it really blows the snow 10 to 20 feet! It depends how wet the snow is! No gas and oil to mess with! This little wonder works better than the monster snow blower my neighbor has! If I get a big drift I put it on top(its only weighs about 25 pounds)and rock it back and forth and it eats away at it! For the extension cord I bought the Wonder Winder Hand Crank Extension Cord Reel here at Amazon! ITs a great combination! Also use a cold weather extension cord a regular cord will get stiff and twisted! Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I really like this product. I bought it in the fall in anticipation of winter and it hasn't snowed yet! I thought I was buying a snow thrower and got something even better - a snow repeller! Seriously, the product arrived promptly and was easy to assemble. It is lightweight and easy o use. Though I haven't had to use it yet this winter, I bought it because a friend has one and it works great. Lowest Price Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

When I first bought the Toro 1800, the guy up the street with a big gas-powered unit, was openly skeptical. Then we had an eight inch snowfall and he watched as the Toro just ate up the snow and tossed it well away. "What a little beauty," he said. Toro. Great stuff. This week we have had three days of heavy snow totalling over three feet, and the Toro has excelled. Light, fast and a great price. It clears our three-car business parking area plus 120 feet of driveway. Light enough to go in the trunk to our other place. Just finished with a 10 inch snow storm, had no problems! Even chewed through the snow the city plow piled up, just had to take it slow. The cord doesn't bother me, I have an electric mower so I'm used to caring for the cord. I bought this at the beginning of the year, and I'm glad I did. Here in Madison we're having our snowiest winter on record. The Toro just eats through the snow, even 10-12" of snow the street plow shoved into our driveway. I've still got to see how it works on the heavier wetter snow we'll getter when the weather warms abit.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Cheapest Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I live on the Western slope of Colorado. The last couple of years, it has snowed more than normal, and the entertainment value had worn off of using my snow shovel. Enter this great little product! It has turned a 45 minute drag into 10 short minutes of (I hesitate to say this)FUN!!! Stay away from rocks, watch the cord, and make a plan as to the best paths, and this will work it's magic for you. Money well spent. A little tip- spray the unit with silicon spray, and snow and ice will fall off and not build up on it, making clean-up a breeze. Works on shovels too!Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Cheap Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

We have had the all time record snowiest winter in Madison WI this year with another good month of snow to come yet. I received this blower three days ago and what a time saver it is. Once you get used to the cord it is amazing how well it clears the snow and how far it actually throws it. For weighing only 24 pounds it really does an excellent job. the Toro 1800 gets down to the surface, much closer than my gas powered blower. I used it on 2 - 8" loose to packed snow and it did an excellent job. Easy to handle due to the light weight without all the headache of gas and fumes to mess with. I just wish I had gotten this blower sooner as most of the snowfalls have been around 2-6" each all season and this would have been easier to transport between the two houses I clear snow at. Delivery and quality of merchandise were exactly at advertised by Amazon. The price with the current discount is at least $65 cheaper than local retail if you can find one up here. Thank you!
