Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Get it now!

This snowblower isn't a hardcore piece of equipment. This device is meant to clear fresh snow, thats not deeper than about 10" and isn't saturated with rain or ice. It won't chip thru old snow thats refrozen, and it won't clear REALLY heavy snow (like the stuff the plow piles at the end of your driveway). But its not meant for that.

What its meant for is clearing large swaths of fresh snow and throwing it a long distance out of the way. And it does that VERY well. We've had the snowiest winter on record here in Boston this December (25" I think?) and this little guy has handled all of it with no problem.

One major benefit to this device is that it is more environmentally friendly than ANY of the gas powered devices because it only runs when you need it to (its never idling). The instant 'on' trigger is big and friendly to use with gloves on.

Today we are expecting another 10-14" of snow, and its going to see another long day of service.

My only complaints:
-Managing the extension cord can get tedious, but its a small price to pay for a snowblower that never needs maintenence and works EVERY time.

-Without powered wheels it can be a little tricky to snowblow uphill... I recommend carrying it up hill and snowblowing down the slope (its suprisingly light)

-The extension cord needs to be tied to the handle to prevent it from popping out during work. I used a little electrical tape to hold it in addition to the knot.

Finally, just remember that this is a light duty device... if you are expecting to chew thru 2 feet of icy snow, its not going to handle it... if you need to clear a driveway of 6" of fresh snow and shoot it up and over the existing wall of snow, its your best choice!
