Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Immediately

Picked it up in mid-March, right after the last big snow storms here in MN so I wasn't able to try it out until today. We received 5-7 inches of heavy wet snow, on a 1 inch layer of wet slush. The machine worked great, clearing down to the concrete with little effort and throwing the snow 15-25 feet. It never really even bogged down and didn't jam either. The cord was a bit of a pain, but the only cold weather one I had was a 100 foot 12 gauge, which made it a little heavier then it needed to be. I think it will work well for about 90% of the snow we get here and being able to just plug it in and go will be nice.

Update: January 2009 - Still using it and has gone through basically two full winters now in MN. Other then the end of the driveway, it has always worked great. Just plug it in and go. It will move heavy stuff. ilght stuff, and will clear out big drifts. Ice chunks are the reason I don't use it for the end of the driveway once winter really gets rolling. As long as there is no ice it does fine. Chunks can jam it and even the one tht gfet through sound like they would probably shorten the life of the machine. At this point I am still very pleased with it though. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
