I too just got finished using the Toro to clear my driveway and sidewalk. The blizzard of 2009 in the D.C. area is still going and has easily exceeded 1 foot of snow so far. Using the Toro definitely made it faster to clear the snow, and saved my back!
Of note: the large belt had slipped off when I first tried to use the Toro today, but it was an easy fix after reviewing the manual. (I bought my Toro in February 2007. Today was the real test, since snowfall in prior years maxed out around 4-5 inches.) No problems after using the Toro for over 2 hours. The Toro actually makes it "fun" to clear the snow.
My only complaint so far is the chute moves around too easily. My "solution" was to have the chute face in one direction and apply Gorilla tape to keep it in place.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
