Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025

I bought this after our 4 ft of snow just before Christmas here in the mountains of southern California... Then it turned summer for a month.. then February hit.. Winter returns!... I finally got to break it out.

My first task was a 12" light fluffy snow. It worked great! Fast, down to pavement, and threw a long distance. My neighbor with his big gas machine was in awe and had to come over to investigate!

Second snow was trying to keep up with the dumping snow... so I went out 3 times in a day and blew off about 5" each time, started heavy, then light. Again, worked pretty well..

...last time was about 6" of moderately heavy snow. still worked good, but then something broke with the rotor shaft I believe, and it stopped throwing and began making a loud noise. The shaft was still spinning, but once snow hit it, it had no power and stopped.

I'm not the most mechanical person, but I took it apart, however I could not find out what was wrong, so I took it into a Toro dealer.

Being near LA, I took it to a place where, to no surprise, they spoke very little english. Anyway, $10 later and 3 explanations later and still not understanding what they did to it, it works fine again. Must have not been a big deal. :P

Bottom line, this thing so far has impressed me. With light snow, it throws very good.. but as would be expected, the heavier it gets, the less distance it throws. It goes down to pavement well. I wouldn't recommend to use it off pavement. I do worry about its longevity, but it seems like its a simple design so reapiring shouldn't cost a fortune. The wheels suck, but so far have not been a big issue. well worth the money for all but large jobs and huge amounts of snow.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Review

As received, the snowblower quit after the first 50 feet of use. Bolts had not been torqued adequately as built. This caused belt to jump pulley. Took local warrenty repair facility 4 days to figure this out. Worked great after they torqued the bolts. They had a second one returned (same problem and also bought from Amazon.com) the day I picked mine up. Worked great in our recent 8 inch snow. It did double drive plus sidewalks in about 30 minutes. Cord is not a problem.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Which snowblower is the best for your needs?

You live in an area that has enough snow per year that is always digging them from the street and sidewalks? So, if you know what "hard work" and time consuming task, it can be with a shovel. Of course, you have called thought about buying a snow blower or plow as correct. Or you already have a snow blower, but now they have to replace worn or defective because it may need a more powerfulor perhaps a little 'easier to mold. snowblower not just blow the snow, "is the reason for their pitcher proper name is" snow. Snow, the speed is the speed of the slide or expelled from the front of the machine, either by screw or a two stage machine with a wheel on the exit ramp.

So what are snow thrower suite your needs?

Snow Throwers

There are four types of snow blower or thrower that arebe of use, most home owners. Starting from the smallest and size, these are the following: -

Which snowblower is the best for your needs?

Electric snow shovels. electrical machines, the same size of a bucket with about an inch cutting width of 12 and usually 7-9 amps of power Electric snow blowers. electric cars with larger wheels and usually about 18 cm cutting width 12-15 amps Gas Powered Tools stadium snowBlower. Largest electric cars and larger wheels. Snowblade ejected through the chute on the speed of the screw Tools-stage gas snowblowers. End domestic machines, in two phases snowmobiling top cut through the snow like the others, but the snow is then ejected from the chute by a worm wheel in the spillway outlet, rather than the rate

and really great for logginga long driveway

and snow plow attachments. Attachments for tractors and also for road vehicles

What work is any type of snow thrower best?
Electric snow shovel. An electrically powered shovel the snow is great for de-mining areas of small steps, terraces and courtyards. They are lightweight and very easy to move. They only be able to shovel snowup to a maximum of about 150 meters away from the wall outlet and no more than about 4 to 6 inches of light snow in a single pass electric-powered snow blower. electric powered snow tend to width of about 18 inches of cut, and usually have a capacity of 12-15 amps. These electric cars are good for de-mining areas of snow to the size of a car-street pathways and three associates. They tend to valuebe able to remove up to 10 inches of snow at a time, but up to 6 inches of snow depth is 4 more realistic. They only be able to clear snow up to about 150 meters up from the socket. A single-stage gas powered snow blower. Utensils Gas phase snow are normally 21 to 24 inches and are completed by a substantial 12 centimeters of snow in one, but most are satisfied with the course of 6 to 8 inchesa ride. Single-stage blowers usually of 4-stroke engines powered these days are more than 2-stroke engines, eliminating the need for adding oil to gas. 4-stroke engines are quieter than 2 stroke engines and also tend to have more torque, are the best way to meet the most stringent conditions. A single-stage snow blower operators need tends to push the wheels are driven, but to say that they want along theirSnail. Two-stage gas powered snow blowers. These are the top-end machines for clearing areas for domestic properties. The fans are small, 24 to 33 inches and width of cut is driven with up to 6 forward and vice versa. Snowblowers two stages are also able to better with wet snow, as the impeller is driven by a secondary slide and are also able to clear snow up to 24 inches deep. These twoStage snow are great, the room means that they do not use as flexible as a small step or electric cars, and they also need considerable storage. Larger snow -. Attached as annexes snow blowers and snow plows are vehicles for tractors and utility companies.

What kind of snow blower is best for your property?

This isdepend on the amount of snow used to have and how big the area is clear that you need. So, the bigger the area, bigger, stronger, the snow blower you need. Finally, do not you want to be there all day to do the snow removal are better things you could.

Steps, decking, patio, paths, etc., really the only option for these smaller areas is a normal shovel or a snow shovel electric power. SmallThe environment - cars over sidewalks. 3. If you have a small car driveway for up to two more trenches around the house, then a power shovel, but I suggest that an electrically-powered snow thrower about 18 inches would be ideal. A voice of more than two cars, and you definitely need a snow thrower electric power and a shovel. As with an electric lawn mower, the power supply is a problem, so care is needed if you do not cut the fanCord. Business and Environment - more access walkways-5. 2 If you have electricity problems getting to the point where you need to shovel the snow then I suggest that an electrically powered snow blower would be ideal as it requires no gas down, simple as a fan to save gas no , easier to use and whether to use just pull it out, plug it in and off you want. A gas-powered machine is a single stage to do a task similar to electricity, andi can walk freely snow, where there is no access to electricity within 150 I propose a machine-powered single-stage gas is used for a driveway, the camera is useful for more than five cars sidewalks. Large area - like a 5 car driveway. If you have more experience of an area larger than 5 cars or regular heavy snowfall then you will need a power gas blowers in two phases. Also, remember that two-stage snow thrower and the driving wheelsup to six forward gears and one reverse gear, and so are easier on the muscles, back and lungs as individual steps or on machines where the worm is that you pull through the snow. Massive Central Region - long driveway, parking, etc. If you have a car lot and a long driveway or large parking lot for more than ten and have a lawn tractor, ATV or tractor and attachments are available for you to shovel snow from the comfort of the seat ofthese vehicles. The annexes are also on the way for commercial vehicles available as a pick-up, but if the miles of property from the main road, then you do not, this should be considered.

It it also very light weight and yet throw snow quiet far. I have a huge driveway and clear it out in very little time. Also, it is extremely quiet which means I can use it very early in the day without fear of disturbing the neighbors.
