I actually bought the gas model, 325 I think it is. I loved it so much that when Amazon put the electric 1800's on sale (a real bargain at under $150 each) I bought 4 for presents. Everyone loves them. I abuse mine--used it when snow was deeper than recommended, and use my gas one to do both sides of my block as my neighborly gesture--it just works and works.
