I was looking for a powerful, small machine that I could get out of my garage without having to first move out one of the cars! The Toro 1800 is all that I thought it would be. The cord takes some getting used to, but it is a powerful little machine; adequate for most major snowfalls in a driveway that is within 100 feet of an electrical outlet.
