Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Review

My first one lasted two years, so I guess I was fooled. The second one died in it's third or fourth use. First starts smoking and smelling of burnt plastic and then....foof. I suppose these are OK for two inches or so of fluffy snow, but that's about it. In addition, it's difficult to get the handles on them, and the spout often pops straight up whether you want it to or not when snow pushes against it. On the plus side it's light.

Anyhow, I wouldn't get one of these unless you live south of Delaware.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Top Quality

My snowthrower was delivered right to the front door...no problems for me trying to fit it in my car. I have used it twice and I LOVE it. I have a straight driveway and the 150 foot cord is just the right length, so this snow thrower is perfect for my needs. It has worked well in snow up to about 5 inches and I think it will do a good job in deeper snow, when needed. It is very light and easy to use, and best of all it starts easily every time!Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I just received my Toro Snowthrower [+ 100' yellow cord]from Amazon and today we had 8 inches of snow. I am not mechanically inclined but even a total idiot could use this snowthrower! I finished all my snow removal in 1 hour - compared to an 8 hours of hand shoveling. The extension cord did come unplugged a few times until my [much smarter] neighbor suggested I wrap the cord around the handle a couple of times. Problem solved. My neighbor always helps me shovel and today I was able to repay the favor by snowthrowing his entire driveway. My only regret is that I didn't buy this baby sooner! Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Immediately

I've had my 1800 for two seasons. And it is The Bomb! In Chicagoland,we get a fair amount of snow, most recently, a 7-inch fall. The 1800 handled it with ease, ejecting the snow 30- to 40 feet away. With a little patience, it will munch its way through the foot-deep berm deposited across my driveway by the city plow. Deeper falls might require multiple passes. Not sure about this. Still, it works equally well on my driveway, sidewalk, a lumpy flagstone walkway and even across bare ground. Need to move it over a curb or something? Just pick it up by its handle - it's easily portable.

So why four stars? First of all, it's not happy in really wet snow or slush. But is any snow blower? Second, the "string" attached, that is, the electrical cord. It saves you the hassle of gas or gas/oil, cold weather starting and so on. But you have to manage the cord, every minute, every move. This is okay with me. I'm used to it.

Bottom line, if you feel that the cord is a small price to pay to avoid non-starts and hands that smell like gasoline, and you aren't clearing snow drifts in the high Sierras, the 1800 is an excellent choice.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

I live in New York and we get our fair share of snow and this Toro 1800 does its job. I was doubtful at first but after 3 uses with average of 5 inches of snow, now I love it. I don't have to fill it up with gas/oil and its maintenance free.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025 Get it now!

I have owend this product for last 2 years and has used it for winter storms with 2 feets of snow. Here are the things I like:
1. Zero Maintenance
2. Works great
3. Very light weight and easy to handle
4. No gas smell which is annoying with other snowblowers
Wish it was better in:
1. It was little more wider
2. With 2 feet of snow it is better to shovel it twice. Works much better with upto 1 feet of snow

Still I would recommedn it in a heartbeat. Great product.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
