This works very well here in a Cincinnati winter. This works much better than you think it will. I can do a 100 ft drive with a two car turn around in about 20 min.
The only thing I will add, some reviews talk about the plastic wheels. per the instructions the wheels are only to transport the blower. In use you raise up the handle so the front blade of the unit scrapes the snow off the drive. People also say the handle is too low, this is because they are trying to push it with the wheels on the ground in use. Like I said, not the proper way to use it. Buying Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025
I did a lot of research before buying this snow thrower and saw the discharge chute assembly woes others had, so I paid particular attention to that when putting it together. The small carriage bolts that hold the assembly together fit into square indentations in the plastic chute so when tightening the bolt it could easily strip the plastic. What I did was hold the bolt head firmly seated into the indent while tightening and there was no problem. The manual discharge loft adjustment is smooth yet stiff enough that it isn't affected by the snow. I could see that if this connection is stripped, the bonnet would just flop around and become nearly useless. Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
Cheap Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025
Lightweight, effective, easy to use.
Living, as I do, in Northern Massachusetts, just south of New Hampshire and in the Merrimack Valley, we expect more than just a little snow in the winter.
About 10 years ago I bought my first Toro 1800 and after all these years of dedicated effort to keep my driveway and walkways clear it finally gave up fight. Mind you now, the unit was still capable of throwing that snow, but various pieces of the superstructure finally failed due to rust and hard use.
If you generally need to deal with less than 2 feet of snow at at time and don't want to deal with gasoline and starting an engine in the cold, and don't mind trailing an extension cord (don't forget the GFCI plugs) this could be just the tool for you.
To put it in context, I use this to clear a 50 foot long 12 foot wide driveway, and about 150 feet of walkway, an except for block of ice the plows leave at the end of your driveway, it does the trick.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.

Cheapest Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025
This snow thrower works great on walks. I have used it in blizzard condtions and it will throw snow up to 30'. While the manufacturer says it can move snow up to a depth of 10", I found that can handle deeper accumulations as long as you advance slowly. It won't throw ice and it won't throw slush without clogging (but neither does my two stage gasoline snow thrower). I recommend that you purchase cold weather extension cords as the typical plastic outdoor cords get stiff in cold weather, making it hard to take up the cord when you are finished). Use an outlet protected by a GFCI, please, since you are standing in and surrounded by frozen water while you are using it.
This snow thrower is light weight so it is easy to carry. You can lift it up stairs, so it can be used to clean your porch or deck or your pathway with steps. It is easy to start (a safety key is provided which prevents the cord from being connected unless the key is inserted and turned ... I recommend that you attach the key to a bright colored coiled keychain, so you don't lose the small key in the snow). No gas is need, no oil, no tuneups, no sparkplug..just plug in and go. The snowthrower is not self propelled, but the machine is easy to move and there is some self movement due to the turning blades.
The discharge chute can be adjusted by turning the crank from the operators position, so the snow can be properly directed.
Assembly is relatively easy (about 15 minutes)...you must connect the two parts of the handle together, attach the crank and the cross bar and secure with two nuts and bolts. Toro thoughfully used different sizes for the hex head bolts and the nuts, so they could be tightened with one socket set. You also have to attach the top of the chute to the bottom of the chute with carriage bolts and nuts.
If you only need to clear walks (or even a small driveway) this snow thrower is for you.

I've had my Toro Electric Snow blower for 12 years and I was surprised to see the current model looks almost exactly the same. To address the reliability of the machine I can say I have never had a problem with it - nothing has broken or even cracked and it always works. I'm always amazed that after being in storage for several months it just turns on and does it's job. I live in Connecticut and it usually gets several uses a season. I'm thinking of replacing it only because the blade and scraper are starting to show signs of wear - but I'll probably hold off for a few more seasons.Get more detail about Toro 1800 18-Inch 12 Amp Electric Curve Snow Thrower #38025.
