This is a very good value for the price. It obviously won't be as good as a full-size gasoline-powered snow blower, but most of us don't really need that. This thrower is light (mine is hanging on a hook on the wall of my garage), maneuverable, starts right up with the touch of a button, doesn't need gas or oil, and does the job well. It cleans right down to the pavement, which is surprising, but it does it. It didn't throw my snow thirty feet, or anywhere close to thirty feet. I guess, to an extent, it depends on what kind of snow you are trying to clear, but I used mine for two different snow falls, and I'd say mine maxed out at around ten feet, but that was all I needed. This makes clearing the driveway sort of like vacuuming. For one of the snows, which was very wet, the chute clogged repeatedly, but I think a full-size gas powered blower would have had the same problem. I am very happy with the product. My only use was after the storm with a little snow, but a thick crest from the hail. It worked surprisingly well! I live on a corner in Queens in NYC with a long double driveway. With two passes, all of the snow and most of the 1" ice disappeared.
I wish the key were a little sturdier and that there were two.
As a senior citizen, I also wish the print and diagrams were bigger and esier to read. Aside from difficulty assembling the handle, which I had to get my neighbor to help me with, I am very pleased. I found it easy to operate and was able to do all the work by myself Not bad for an older lady!

Assembly was a nuisance, since the long handle consists of nested tubes in which the power line sits. This has to be assembled, getting the screws through inner and outer tubes while not damaging the cord. Once this is over, the machine worked fine, and for medium to small areas its very convenient.
