Just got back from using this snow blower. I had such a great time I'd even used it to make a path for my neighbors sidewalk. We just had over a foot of snow and it is still snowing so I will be back in a few hours. Its so easy to use, just point to where you want the snow to go and press the power. Its that simple. It may take a minute or 2 to get use to it, but after that its fine. Make sure you have extra slack on the cord by the handle or the plug will come out. This blower was not meant for this blizzard but it still did a great job. There are times too much snow get in and the blower get jams and dont blow out of the blower. No problem. Just punch/push the hole where the snow is jam (of course not when its on) and snow will fall to the ground and you're good to go again. From my experience for 2 feet of snow just go under the snow sideways, then the top will fall when the bottom is gone the top will go. For the price this is a bargain. It much lighter than the gas ones and a lot cheaper. I'd bought this a few months ago and was wiating for snow to try it out, oh boy did I, a snow storm. I'd work this to the max and it passed. This snow thrower is certainly powerful enough for up to 8 inches of the white stuff but don't count on it if you live in a snowbelt area and regularly get heavy snowfalls. I have a short two car driveway and a small walk to clear and this Toro is great. Being electric, it doesn't need tuneups, fuel or multiple attempts at starting. Very convenient to use. Watch the cord though, it can easily get tangled in the chute.

Look for discounted prices on this unit and jump on it! You'll be happy you did.

Update: Just had 22" of snow dumped on us this last weekend (2/12/06) and this snow moving miracle machine blew through the white stuff like Paris Hilton through... well, you get the idea! Very satisfied so far. Got it as a backup to the big beast as they only break down when you use them and you only use them when you need them.
Only used a couple times and quite happy.
Other day had bit of snow followed by hours of drizzle which left a compressed inch or maybe little more of pure sludge/slush in the drive. Didn't bother with the big boy as figured it would mostly roll over it. Didn't consider the toro as it seemed too much to ask until I did maybe 30 square feet with a shovel at about 30-40lbs a shovel full of slush.
Went for the toro and wow! It ate right through it. Sure, it didn't throw it very far and yes, it did bog down near the end of the drive where it was 5 inches deeps with the slush; but, I can hardly complain about that.
It also clogged the chute twice; but, I find that too more than reasonable considering the slop I was feeding it.
Saved my back...
