Upgrading to this tool after using a shovel and 10.5 HP snowblower is the best tool upgrade I have ever made. It is light, maneuverable, and easy to store. Minor maintenance is necessary (nothing compared to snowblowers with gas engines). I am extremely happy with this unit.

I actually bought this unit as a gift for some friends that recently retired to the mountains. I bought it because I bought one for myself almost eight years ago and it has never missed a beat! I use it mostly to get the snow off of the decks aroung the house. I have a larger gas powered unit for the driveways. The electric unit would do the driveways if you plowed them as the snow fell but I am not a full time resident of the mountains so it is just faster to use the gas unit when there is a lot of snow.
