This unit is very capable of moveing 10 to 12 inches with now problems. I wish I had this unit long before now. If anyone has doubts about this unit you can forget them and just buy this thrower. You will not be disapointed. The thrower is very easy to assemble, just insert 4 bolts and plug it in and enjoy.
